Meet Shane Johnson, our Senior Vice President and General Manager. Shane talks about how his interest in cannabinoid biosynthesis began when he saw the challenges of cannabis cultivation through a company he founded. With Charles Marlowe and Philip Barr, he founded BayMedica with a goal to leverage biosynthesis to manufacture cannabinoids and overcome the challenges of cannabis cultivation.
Shane holds a B.A. in Studio Art and a B.S. in Neuroscience (with honors) from Brown University, an M.D. from the Stanford University School of Medicine, and is a Fulbright Scholar.
